Tournament Format This season consists of 20 races. The season will be split up into 5 sessions of 4 races. There are 32 entries. These will be divided over 4 groups of 8 people. Each 4-race session you will be in another group.
Each group will have 14 days to complete the session. This will allow you to get the best possible attendance for your session. From each group a session leader is chosen who will start a topic on the forum to determine the time(s) the races will be held.
Because that discussion is public, Guapo and Brook can monitor this and advice where neccesary. Guapo, as impartial race director, can make a ruling to speed things up.
Hosting It is preferred that someone in the group will host. This means hosting 8 cars (including yourself). That might pose a problem. It should therefore also be possible to ask someone else to host (foreign host). To prevent gatecrashing, it is advised that the host pm's a password to all session members. The host will start hosting 15 minutes before the time agreed upon and will wait 10 minutes for any late comers before starting the first race.
Points Because there are groups of 8, the logical thing is the current Formula 1 style scoring method: 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 per race. If you miss a race or are disqualified or banned: no points. He who has the most points at the end of the season wins.
Because this is the holiday season, it is most likely that there will be people who miss out on an entire session. Although the results of the poll were clear on this, it might be adviseable to drop everyone's lowest four scores in the end.
Starting grid Grid positions are predetermined and semi random. The reverse race on a track will always be the reverse grid of the normal race on that track. The host will set up a 6 lap race, instead of 5. The first lap will be a formation lap where everyone will get into their designated grid position. It will be a single file rolling start, where no overtaking is allowed until crossing the finish line. If a foreign host is used, the formation lap allows for him to park his car in a non obstrusive place.
Penalties Hosts are allowed to kick folks who refuse to choose a car that is authorised for that race. Hosts will give people with sight blocking names the opportunity to change that into a more modest name and re-login.
Misconduct during a race (ramming, wall riding, obstrusive taunts, riding backwards, pausing, etc.) will be either handled after the race by issuing a warning or by immediately stopping the race and kicking the person involved. What action to take is for the host and the other players to decide.
If someone is kicked, he is banned from the tournament!
After every race, the host will ask if anyone wants to dispute the outcome of the race. If that is the case, the redlog will be scrutineered by ElGuapo and he will make a ruling.

Schedule Session 1 (Race 1-4) Group composition and session leader will be announced Tuesday June 12th at the latest. Group composition will be random. The deadline for completing session 1 wil be Sunday midnight, June 24th Pacific Daylight Time (UTC-7). This time will be default for all sessions.
Cars At the moment the Hi-performance Class and the Stock Class will be used for session 1.
For session 2 to 5 the following procedure applies. After each session the ranking is made up. The composition of the groups will be taking directly from the ranking: Group 1 will consist of rank 1 to 8, group 2 rank 9 to 16, etc. This way, as the season progresses, you'll find yourself more and more amongst those of equal strength. This gives closer racing and, in effect, more fun.
Group composition and session leader will be announced the Monday after the deadline of the previous session or the moment that previous session is completed
